Orangetown Police Investigating Nyack Shooting After Victim Found in Street with Gunshot Wound

The Orangetown Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on March 1, 2025, at the intersection of Main Street and Park Street in Nyack.

Officers responded to the scene for a welfare check after receiving reports of a man lying in the street. Upon arrival, police identified the individual, who was known to the department, and discovered he had sustained a gunshot wound to his thigh.

The victim was transported by the Nyack Community Ambulance Corps to Montefiore Nyack Hospital, where he was treated and later released.

As part of the ongoing investigation, authorities have identified a white four-door sedan with tinted windows seen in the area around the time of the shooting. The Orangetown Police Department Detective Bureau is actively working on the case.
