Orangetown Police are investigating an assault that occurred Friday afternoon inside the Nyack Library.
According to police, officers responded to the library at approximately 4:50 p.m. on March 13, 2026, after receiving a report of an assault inside the building. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim who had sustained head injuries.
Emergency medical personnel treated the victim at the scene. The extent of the injuries was not immediately released.
The incident remains under investigation by the Orangetown Police Department Detective Bureau.
