ORANGEBURG: Tractor-Trailer Fire Engulfs Ramland Road; Firefighters and Hazmat Team on Scene

Firefighters from the Orangeburg and Tappan Fire Departments battled a fully engulfed tractor-trailer fire on Ramland Road near Blaisdell Road Tuesday morning. The fire, which broke out around 9:15 a.m., was finally brought under control, and the scene was cleared by 11:50 a.m.

Due to potential hazardous material concerns, the Rockland County Hazmat Team also responded to assist with containment and safety measures. Emergency crews worked diligently to extinguish the flames and prevent further hazards.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area as first responders managed the incident. No injuries have been reported at this time.
