On Sunday morning, the Board of Directors of Ohr V’Daas got together to discuss and launch the pre-campaign for the Annual match project. Ohr V’Daas, also known as R.I.S.E. (Rockland Institute for Special Education) is the flagship school for our community’s special children, currently serving 94 precious students who are dealing with a variety of challenges, to help each child reach its maximum potential in life and society.
The annual campaign in the early winter season is geared to solicit the help of the community for the scholarship funds, to be able to provide the outstanding programs to the special needs population. The OV Board meeting took place at the offices of the esteemed Board Members and exemplary Community leaders Mr. Sruly Orzel and Mr. Jeff Weiskopf.
Mr. Joseph Gross OV Board Member and Spring Valley Trustee expresses to the Monsey Scoop: “Every Jewish heart cares deeply for the special children. As Ohr V’Daas parents we personally know the remarkable work as well as the financial struggles of Ohr V’Daas, we therefore look forward to a very successful campaign to help OV continue its amazing and vital mission.”
