NYS THRUWAY: Major Five-Car Crash Temporarily Shuts Down NYS Thruway Near Exit 14B

A major five-car collision occurred at 5:08 p.m. Thursday afternoon on the southbound NYS Thruway just before Exit 14B, temporarily shutting down the highway and prompting a multi-agency emergency response.

One person was extricated in semi-conscious condition by the Tallman Fire Department. Rockland Hatzoloh, Spring Hill EMS, Faist EMS, Chaverim of Rockland, Suffern Fire Department, Ramapo Police, and New York State Police were all on the scene. Multiple injuries were reported.

As of 6:00 p.m., the Thruway has reopened to traffic.
