NYS THRUWAY: Friday Crash on Northbound Lanes Between Exits 15 and 16 Involving Multiple Vehicles Causes Massive Delays

A serious multi-vehicle accident occurred Friday afternoon at around 5:30 PM on the northbound side of the New York State Thruway between exits 15 and 16, leading to a major emergency response and significant traffic delays.

Multiple patients were treated at the scene, including two children. One individual sustained more serious injuries, prompting EMS to request a medevac helicopter, which was later canceled after the patient declined air transport.

Kiryas Joel Hatzolah, Spring Hill EMS, Faist EMS, New York State Police, and the Sloatsburg Fire Department all responded to the incident. The crash caused a traffic backup stretching for miles as emergency crews worked the scene and cleared the wreckage.
