NYS THRUWAY: Early Morning Blaze Engulfs Vehicle Near Exit 14B Southbound

In the early hours of Thursday morning, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a vehicle traveling southbound on the New York State Thruway erupted in flames just before Exit 14B after reportedly overheating.

Hillburn and Tallman Fire Departments rushed to the scene alongside New York State Police and Faist EMS to contain the incident and ensure public safety. Meanwhile, Chaverim of Rockland assisted the stranded occupants, transporting them and their belongings safely home.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, and authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
