NYS Police Arrest Three In Armed Robbery On Palisades Parkway In New City

New York State Police have arrested three individuals in connection with an armed robbery that occurred during the early-morning hours of November 15, 2025, on the Palisades Interstate Parkway northbound near Exit 10 in New City.

According to authorities, troopers from State Police Haverstraw responded at approximately 1:30 a.m. after a 21-year-old man reported that he had been robbed at gunpoint. The victim told investigators he had met a woman inside a bar at 94 Main Street in Nyack and agreed to travel with her to her residence. Believing a vehicle that pulled up outside was a rideshare, he entered the car with her.

Inside the vehicle, the victim encountered two unknown men. Police say the woman—identified as Jordyn M. Casserly, 22, of Monroe—had conspired with the two male suspects, Jason Butler, 25, of Wurtsboro, and Kyle J. Youngberg, 38, of Middletown. Once on the Palisades Parkway, the victim was held at gunpoint, robbed, and then released near Exit 10 as the suspects fled.

A BOLO was issued, and a short time later troopers located the suspect vehicle. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted on Derby Road in Wallkill, where all three were taken into custody without incident. During the stop, troopers also recovered a controlled substance.

All three were charged in Rockland County with Robbery 1st Degree (Class B felony) and Conspiracy 4th Degree (Class E felony). Youngberg also faces Menacing 2nd Degree (Class A misdemeanor). In Orange County, each suspect was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (Class A misdemeanor).

On November 16, 2025, the trio was arraigned in Clarkstown Town Court, where bail was set at $75,000 cash, $150,000 bond, or $300,000 partially secured bond. They were remanded to the Rockland County Jail, and an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.

The investigation remains ongoing.
