NYS Police Arrest Spring Valley Woman in Sloatsburg Service Area Theft

New York State Police arrested Raufoliana O. Louis Jean, 28, of Spring Valley, on August 12, 2025, charging her with two counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and Identity Theft in the Second Degree.

The charges follow an investigation into a larceny complaint at the Sloatsburg Service Area on August 11. Police say Louis Jean, an employee at the service area, used a credit card left behind by a customer to make unauthorized purchases.

According to investigators, she later used the card at several businesses in Spring Valley, spending a total of $1,636.18.

Louis Jean was processed at the State Police barracks in Tarrytown and released on an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in Sloatsburg Village Court on August 27, 2025.
