Nyack’s New Shoreline Path Opens at Memorial Park Ahead of Summer Events

Residents and visitors can now enjoy the newly completed Shoreline Pathway at Memorial Park, with the project opening in time for Nyack’s busy summer event season.

Nyack Mayor Joe Rand shared photos of the pathway this week, highlighting the upgraded waterfront area and thanking the many individuals and organizations involved in completing the project on schedule. The new shoreline design offers improved accessibility and a more user-friendly experience compared to the previous layout.

The pathway was partially opened in time for last week’s African American Day Parade, though some fencing remained in place. Additional sections are expected to be accessible for this weekend’s Pride Day festivities, with the entire project anticipated to be fully open by Independence Day weekend.

Village officials are encouraging the public to visit Memorial Park and enjoy the revitalized waterfront while reminding dog owners to keep pets off the newly planted green areas to help protect the landscaping.
