The Village of Nyack has officially launched the long-anticipated shoreline reconstruction project at Nyack Memorial Park, marking a significant step toward preserving and enhancing one of the community’s most scenic waterfront spaces.
The project will focus on rebuilding the shoreline from the viewing platform to the pedestrian bridge on the park side. Officials say the improvements are aimed at both protecting the area from erosion and improving the overall experience for residents and visitors.
Construction is expected to take approximately three months to complete. During this period, certain sections of the park will be temporarily closed to the public to ensure safety.
Village officials expressed appreciation to the committee members who worked to bring the project to fruition, as well as to A-Tech Concrete, the contractor overseeing the work. Residents are asked for patience as construction progresses, with officials noting that the finished project is expected to significantly enhance the park’s beauty and usability.
