On Friday, Congressman Mike Lawler held a press conference at the Nyack Fire Department announcing his push for President Donald J. Trump to award Welles Remy Crowther, the 9/11 hero known as the “Man in the Red Bandana,” a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom. Crowther’s extraordinary bravery on September 11, 2001, saved countless lives at the World Trade Center.
In addition, Congressman Lawler shared that he will be introducing legislation to posthumously honor Crowther with the Congressional Gold Medal, recognizing his heroism and lasting impact on the nation.
