NISSIM – NYS THRUWAY: Early Morning Crash Near Exit 15A Leaves 10 Injured; Both Vehicles Heavily Damaged

Early Friday morning at approximately 2:25 AM, a serious MVA occurred on the New York State Thruway northbound near Exit 15A after a minivan with a flat tire was rear-ended at high speed by a Tesla. Both vehicles suffered heavy damage, and ten people were injured in the crash. Two of the victims sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while all are thankfully in stable condition.

Rockland Hatzoloh, Chaverim of Rockland, New York State Police, Spring Hill EMS, Faist EMS, Tallman Fire Department, Hillburn Fire Department, and Tuxedo Fire Department responded to the scene.

Notably, two Chaverim of Rockland volunteers were en route to assist the stranded driver with a spare tire from the organization’s tire gemach, a moment of clear hashgacha pratis, as they could have been struck had they arrived just moments earlier.

  1. Chaveirim showing up to such scenes is unprofessional and doesn’t help anyone besides adding more vehicles and giving a bad immage to our community.
