New York State Parks Issue Operational Update Following Storms

Following last night’s storms, New York State Park Police announced that Tallman Mountain State Park and Rockland Lake State Park are open for picnicking and other recreational activities, though their swimming pools remain closed. Bear Mountain State Park is closed until further notice due to a water main break and ongoing power issues. High Tor State Park and Harriman State Park remain open with no reported storm impacts. Visitors are encouraged to check park conditions before traveling and use caution around any storm-damaged areas. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
