New York State Park Police Officer Injured After Patrol Vehicle Struck on Palisades Parkway

A New York State Park Police officer sustained minor injuries over the weekend after a marked, occupied patrol unit was struck from behind while assisting a disabled vehicle on the Palisades Interstate Parkway.

According to officials, the officer was inside the vehicle at the time of the collision. The driver who crashed into the patrol unit was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The incident remains under investigation by New York State Park Police.
