The Town of Ramapo Police Department held a Car Seat Safety Check Event Sunday afternoon at the New Square Hatzoloh EMS Building, and organizers are calling it one of the most successful events of its kind in Ramapo.
Over the course of three hours, dozens of cars came through as Nationally Certified Technicians carefully inspected and adjusted child car seats, ensuring they were properly installed. Parents left with the peace of mind that their children were safer on the road, and many expressed appreciation for the hands-on guidance they received.
The car seat event was coordinated and carried out by Community Policing Officer Jullian Franklin and Officer Danielle Modica, who worked closely with families throughout the afternoon. Both officers were praised for their dedication to child safety and their patient, step-by-step approach in educating parents.
Officials noted that a large percentage of car seats are incorrectly installed nationwide, and praised today’s turnout as evidence of the community’s strong commitment to safety.
The event, run in partnership with the Town of Ramapo and Ramapo Police Department, reinforced the importance of safety awareness and community cooperation.
