A serious multi-vehicle accident occurred early Friday morning at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Route 45 near Fastov Avenue, involving two passenger vehicles and an overturned car. A truck was also reported to have fled the scene following the crash.
Emergency personnel from Hatzoloh EMS, Spring Hill EMS, the Hillcrest Fire Department, Ramapo Police, and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office rushed to the scene. Due to the severity of the incident, Route 45 was shut down in both directions between Washington Avenue and New Hempstead Road as authorities conducted an investigation.
The driver of the overturned vehicle was found unconscious and had to be extricated. The victim was transported by Hatzoloh EMS to Westchester Medical Center in serious condition. A name for Tehillim isn’t needed in this incident.
The investigation into the crash, including the reported hit-and-run involving the truck, remains ongoing.
