The Village of New Square Department of Public Safety and New Square Ershte Hill have issued an important notice to business owners and delivery service providers ahead of the upcoming Grand Hachnosas Sefer Torah celebration led by the Skvere Rebbe Shlita, scheduled for Tuesday, February 25th, and Wednesday, February 26th.
In anticipation of this historic event, local authorities have announced several road closures and traffic restrictions that may impact businesses and delivery services in the area. The restrictions are as follows:

Monday, February 24th – Friday, February 28th:
- Truman Avenue (from Washington Avenue to Garfield Road) and Jefferson Avenue (from Washington Avenue to Lincoln Avenue) will be closed to through traffic.

Tuesday, February 25th:
- From 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., access to the entire village will be restricted to residents with valid ID only.
- No deliveries will be permitted during this time.

Wednesday, February 26th:
- From 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., no traffic will be allowed in the entire village.
During the restricted periods, a designated lane will be reserved for an authorized shuttle bus service and emergency vehicles that have been pre-approved by the event’s command center.
