Members of New Square Emergency Services (NSES) gathered Wednesday evening for a special security training session focused on preparedness and awareness ahead of Rosh Hashanah and the upcoming Yomim Noraim.
The training covered two key topics: an introduction to the terrorist attack cycle and how to properly respond to suspicious behavior and suspicious items. The session was aimed at helping members better recognize potential warning signs, understand the stages that can precede an attack, and respond appropriately when encountering concerning activity or objects.
The training was led by Ethan Erlich, Regional Security Director for the Community Security Initiative, and was held in New Square.
With shuls and community institutions preparing for increased attendance throughout the High Holidays, the training comes as emergency and security organizations across the region step up preparedness efforts to help keep residents and visitors safe.
The evening’s program was sponsored by OKG Tech IT Consulting & Solutions.
