New Leadership Appointments at William P. Faist Volunteer Ambulance Corps

On Monday evening, the William P. Faist Volunteer Ambulance Corps welcomed its new leadership team, marking a pivotal moment for the organization dedicated to serving the community’s emergency medical needs.

The ceremony was a celebration of dedication and service, with officials taking the time to express gratitude to the incoming team for their commitment to the Corps and the broader community. “Thank you all for your commitment to Faist and the community,” an official statement from the organization highlighted, underlining the significance of volunteer service in maintaining the health and safety of the community.

Leading the charge as Line Officers, the Corps announced Shimmy Singer as the new Chief, setting the tone for the leadership team. Victoria Deutsch steps in as Captain, followed by a lineup of Lieutenants specializing in various critical operational areas: Yaakov Fligman takes on the role of Lt of Training, Zack Unger as Lt of Supply, Chaim Klein as Lt of Safety, Debra Stewart as Lt of Scheduling, Ari Klein as Lt of Engineering, and Israel Klein as Lt of Communications. Each officer brings a wealth of experience and dedication to their respective roles, promising a new chapter of efficient and responsive service to the community.

On the administrative front, the Board of Directors saw the appointment of Shimmy Deutsch as the Chairman of the Board, bringing a vision of strong governance and strategic oversight to the Corps. Ora Fortgang was named President, with Rachel Steinmetz as Vice President, Christopher Stewart as Treasurer, Joel Weberman as Recording Secretary, Susan Curate as Corresponding Secretary, and Israel Klein and Shaya Baum as Members at Large. The diverse expertise of the Board members ensures robust leadership and direction for the Corps’ future initiatives.

These appointments come at a time when the role of volunteer ambulance services has never been more critical. The William P.
