NEW HEMPSTEAD: Vehicle Fire On Union Road, Chaverim Of Rockland Volunteers Save Tefillin

A vehicle fire broke out just after 9:00PM on 587 Union Road near Naomi Lane, prompting an immediate response from Hillcrest Fire Department and other emergency personnel. The car was reported to be fully engulfed in flames upon the arrival of the first responders.

In addition to the firefighters, Hatzolah EMS was also at the scene, Amid the chaos, volunteers from Chaverim Of Rockland displayed remarkable bravery by rushing towards the danger to rescue a pair of Tefillin from the burning vehicle.

The quick and response from the emergency personnel helped prevent the fire from further spreading and ensured that the fire was rapidly contained.
