NEW HEMPSTEAD: Parking Restrictions and Road Closures Announced for New Square Hachnosas Sefer Torah

The Village of New Hempstead has issued a traffic advisory regarding temporary parking restrictions and road closures on February 25 and 26 due to a large Torah Procession taking place in New Square.

No Parking Areas:

The following streets will have no parking during the event:

  • Renssalaer Drive (between Route 45 & Dorthy Court)
  • Greenridge Way (between Route 45 & Dorthy Court)
  • Bristol Lane (between Route 45 & Sunny Ridge Road)
  • Both sides of Route 45 (from Pine Valley Nursing Home to New Hempstead Road)
  • Kifi Court
  • Arthur Court
  • Jennifer Court
  • Janet Drive (between Bristol Lane & Rifkin Court)

Mandatory Parking and Shuttle Service

Those traveling to New Square who do not live in the affected area must park at Clover Stadium and take the designated shuttle service. Vehicles parked illegally in restricted areas will be ticketed and towed.

Traffic Control and Enforcement

Police officers will be stationed at Route 45 and key intersections, including Bristol Lane, Greenridge Way, Renssalaer Drive, and Rovitz Place, to manage traffic flow. No traffic will be permitted to enter from Route 45, except at officers’ discretion for residents.

Residents are encouraged to use Hempstead Road to enter and exit the affected streets. Law enforcement will monitor compliance, and a tow truck will be on standby for any violations.
