NEW HEMPSTEAD: Driver Arrested for DUI After Fiery Head-On Crash on Sanatorium Road

A two-car head-on collision at around 1:00 AM Friday on 50 Sanatorium Road left one vehicle fully engulfed in flames and prompted a swift response from multiple agencies. The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, Clarkstown Police, Ramapo Police, Hillcrest Fire Department, and Spring Hill EMS all rushed to the scene and worked to secure the area and extinguish the fire.

Sources tell Monsey Scoop that one of the drivers involved was arrested for DUI. No further details have been released at this time.
