New City Fire Department Quickly Knocks Down Residential Fire on Scott Drive

On Saturday morning at approximately 10:29 a.m., the New City Fire Department was dispatched to 1 Scott Drive following reports of smoke inside the building. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed a working fire and notified 44-Control.

Crews acted swiftly, with the department’s tanker truck arriving shortly thereafter to help knock down the fire. Firefighters operated on scene for about an hour, and fortunately, no injuries were reported among residents or emergency personnel.

The New City Fire Department expressed appreciation to its mutual aid partners for their assistance, including the Central Nyack Fire Department, Hillcrest Fire Company No. 1, Nanuet Fire Department, and West Nyack Fire Department. Additional support was provided by the New City Ambulance Corps, Rockland Paramedic Services, and the Clarkstown Police Department.

Officials credited the quick response and coordinated efforts with preventing further damage and ensuring everyone’s safety.
