Chaverim of Rockland, in collaboration with Rockland Hatzolah has introduced an innovative measure aimed at preventing parents from inadvertently leaving children in their cars. This new initiative features professional audio recordings both in English and Yiddish that play frequently in major supermarkets, reminding customers not to leave their children unattended in vehicles.
The recording plays as follows: “Attention shoppers. This is an important reminder from Chaverim of Rockland and Hatzoloh. Never leave a child in the car even for one minute. Remember, look before you lock. One moment is one moment too late. Chaverim of Rockland and Hatzoloh wish you a happy and healthy summer. Stay safe.”
Additionally, the Town of Ramapo Police and Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP) has installed large jumbo signs at the entrances of key supermarkets. These signs prominently display safety reminders to shoppers, reinforcing the crucial message.
Continuing its commitment to safety, Ramapo has expanded its campaign with pop-up banners strategically placed by local supermarkets. These banners serve as an additional visual reminder for shoppers to check their vehicles and ensure no child is left behind.
