In an effort to improve the condition of local roads, the Rockland County Highway Department has announced that Convent Rd in the Town of Clarkstown will be closed for scheduled roadwork from Wednesday, August 23rd. The closure will extend from Grandview Ave to Fairview Ave, weather permitting.
Motorists who typically use this route are advised to plan for alternative routes, as detours will be in effect for the duration of the closure. The roadwork is expected to cause some delays, so drivers are encouraged to allow extra time for their commutes.
