An MVA occurred Thursday evening at approximately 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Route 59 and Smith Street in Nanuet, involving a motorcyclist who sustained significant injuries.
Nanuet EMS, Rockland Paramedics, and Clarkstown Police responded to the scene. The motorcyclist, who was conscious and alert at the scene, was airlifted by medevac to Westchester Medical Center for further treatment.
The intersection remains closed as Clarkstown Police conduct an accident investigation. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the roadway reopens.
