Nanuet Man Dies After Palisades Parkway Crash Near Exit 1 Last Thursday

Michael E. Donoghue, a resident of Nanuet has tragically passed away from injuries sustained in a serious crash on the Palisades Parkway near Exit 1 in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, last Thursday, January 16.

Monsey Scoop first reported the crash on January 16, detailing the severity of the incident.

Deputy Chief of Detectives Jeff Angermeyer from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that Donoghue was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center in critical condition. Despite extensive medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries early Tuesday morning, January 21.

Eyewitnesses recounted the courageous actions of two men who rushed to Donoghue’s aid. They performed CPR and successfully restored a pulse before Hatzolah EMS arrived at the scene.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
