Munkatcher Preschool Day Camp Holds Interactive Safety Day with First Responders at Clover Stadium {PHOTOS & VIDEOS}

On Wednesday, Munkatcher Preschool Day Camp’s “A Shtick Simcha” program held an interactive Safety Day at Clover Stadium, where campers enjoyed an exciting and educational morning with local first responders. The event, led by Head Counselor Rabbi Korn, brought together Hatzoloh EMS of Rockland County, Chaverim of Rockland, the Ramapo Police Department, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, and the Monsey Fire Department to teach children about emergency preparedness and the important work each agency performs to keep the community safe.

Representatives from each agency gave age-appropriate presentations and live demonstrations, allowing campers to learn about emergency vehicles, rescue equipment, and public safety in a fun and engaging environment. Participating personnel included Julianne Franklin of the Ramapo Police Department and Officer Brian Neary and K-9 Galli of the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office.

One of the highlights of the day was a K-9 demonstration, during which Officer Brian Neary and K-9 Galli conducted a mock search for a volunteer camper. The police dog quickly located the child, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the campers while demonstrating the remarkable tracking abilities of the Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit.

Organizers said the program was designed to help children become familiar with first responders in a positive setting, fostering trust while teaching valuable safety lessons. Campers also had the opportunity to meet emergency personnel, ask questions, and get an up-close look at the specialized vehicles and equipment used every day to protect Rockland County residents.
