Early this morning, just before 5 a.m., a serious motorcycle accident occurred at the intersection of New Clarkstown Road near West Clarkstown Road. Emergency personnel from Nanuet EMS, Rockland Paramedics and Clarkstown Police quickly arrived at the scene and transported the victim to Nyack Hospital in critical condition.
The Clarkstown Police Department is currently on the scene investigating the accident, which has resulted in severe injuries to the motorcycle operator. As a result, New Clarkstown Road will remain closed between West Clarkstown Road and Kings Gate Parkway for several hours while the Accident Investigation Unit conducts its work. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes during this time.
