MONTEBELLO: Dump Truck Overturns at Old Mill Road and Hemion Road, Driver Rescued by Good Samaritans

Emergency personnel responded around 2:15 p.m. Monday to a dump truck rollover at the intersection of Old Mill Road and Hemion Road.

Sources tell Monsey Scoop that the driver was trapped inside the vehicle following the crash and was extricated after several minutes thanks to the quick actions of good Samaritans and members of Chaverim of Rockland, with additional assistance from the Tallman Fire Department, Suffern Fire Department, Faist EMS, and Ramapo Police.

Orange and Rockland Utilities were requested to the scene after the truck struck and brought down a utility pole, prompting temporary road closures in the area.

The driver sustained minor injuries and was evaluated by EMS at the scene. The

cause of the crash remains under investigation.
