MONTEBELLO: Burglars Steal Valuable Safe in Home Break-In; Ramapo Police and Chaverim of Rockland Investigating

Ramapo Police, Rockland County Sherriff’s BCI, and Chaverim of Rockland are investigating a burglary that occurred Friday evening around 7 PM in Montebello, on Cobblestone Farm Court. The home, which showed signs of forced entry, was unoccupied at the time.

The break-in was discovered Monday afternoon when neighbors noticed a damaged door and alerted the homeowner. The homeowner then contacted the property management company, which promptly involved Chaverim of Rockland and the Ramapo Police Department.

Upon inspection, it was revealed that the burglars had removed a wall-mounted safe containing valuable jewelry and silver. Tools used for forced entry were also found at the scene.

Ramapo Police detectives, along with the Rockland County Sheriff’s BCI unit, were on-site Monday afternoon to conduct a thorough investigation. Chaverim of Rockland is also assisting in the case.
