MONSEY: Worker Rescued After 20-Foot Fall at Construction Site on Dykstras Way East

A serious construction site accident late Monday morning triggered a large-scale emergency response in Monsey.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., a worker fell about 20 feet from ground level into a basement at a construction site on Dykstras Way East. The individual sustained serious injuries from the fall. Emergency personnel from Hatzoloh EMS, Faist EMS, Ramapo Police, Spring Valley Police, the Monsey Fire Department, and the Rockland County Tactical Rescue Team responded to the scene.

Firefighters from the Monsey Fire Department conducted a specialized rescue operation to safely extricate the injured worker. Rockland Paramedics then transported the individual to Westchester Medical Center for further treatment.

This incident came just hours after another construction accident in Chestnut Ridge at around 8:30 a.m., where a worker was also injured As Monsey Scoop reported earlier.
