MONSEY: Two Cars and Bus Crash at Hilltop & Highview, Toppling Utility Pole and Transformer, Causing Power Outages

Emergency personnel responded to an MVA involving two cars and a bus at approximately 9:15 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Hilltop Place and Highview Road in Monsey. The crash caused a utility pole to topple, bringing down live wires and a transformer, resulting in a loud boom and power outages in the immediate area.

Hatzoloh EMS, Spring Hill EMS, the Monsey Fire Department, and Ramapo Police all responded to the scene. Multiple ambulances were dispatched from both EMS agencies to treat several patients who sustained minor injuries.

Due to the downed wires and ongoing emergency operations, the area remains closed off to traffic. Residents are urged to avoid the vicinity while utility crews work to restore power and clear the scene.
