Emergency crews, including the Spring Valley Fire Department, Orange & Rockland Utilities, and the Spring Valley Police Department, responded to the scene to assess and address the situation.
By 4:00 PM, Orange & Rockland Utilities (O&R) crews were actively working to repair the sparking electrical pole on Robert Pitt Drive to restore power to affected areas. At 4:15 PM, over 700 O&R customers in Monsey and Spring Valley were still experiencing outages. Crews continued efforts to restore service, with some customers already back online. Officials estimated that the remaining outages would be resolved within the hour.
By 5:45 PM, all power had been fully restored. Orange & Rockland Utilities confirmed that repairs were completed, and all affected customers now have electricity.
