MONSEY: Multi-Vehicle Accident on Route 59 Near Main Street, Injuries Reported

A multi-vehicle accident occurred this evening on Route 59 near Key Bank, close to Main Street. The incident prompted a swift response from local emergency personnel, including Hatzoloh EMS, Chaverim of Rockland, Monsey Fire Department, and the Ramapo Police Department.

Injuries have been reported, Emergency personnel are actively working on the scene to assist those involved and secure the area.

As a result of the accident, Route 59 is was closed between Main Street and Requa Lane and has since been reopened.

  1. Although it is sad to see and all I can say is may God be with them and watch over them, but I was just on my E-bike on 306 earlier today. I should have been dead 3x over. Congested, tailgating, turning into main roads even after light changed to red.

    I mean, what’s the rush? Are those two extra tenths off a second really that important to jeopardize your life or especially those who are pedestrians? I just hope this show EVERYONE just how much of an impact (literally) this can have on other drivers if defensive driving is NOT practiced by ALL drivers.
