MONSEY: Massive Turnout Forces Early Closure of Community Outreach Center DMV Event

As Monsey Scoop previously reported, the Community Outreach Center in Monsey partnered with the New York State DMV to host an on-site ID service event scheduled to run from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

However, by 11:30 a.m., the event had reached full capacity due to an overwhelming turnout. In an official statement, the Community Outreach Center announced that no additional clients can be accepted today.

“Dear Community Members,
We sincerely apologize to inform you that today’s DMV event at the Community Outreach Center has reached full capacity. An overwhelming number of people are already being assisted, and therefore the DMV is unable to accept any additional clients at today’s event.
Please do not come to the center today, as the DMV will be unable to serve anyone who was not already checked in.
The Community Outreach Center will notify the public of upcoming DMV events as soon as future dates are confirmed.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Rabbi Hersh Horowitz, Executive Director

The organization emphasized that additional dates for similar DMV services will be announced once confirmed.
