MONSEY: Intoxicated Driver Knocks Down Fire Hydrant in Series of Crashes on Maple Avenue and Ellish Parkway

An intoxicated driver caused a series of collisions on Maple Avenue and Ellish Parkway, resulting in significant damage and emergency response.

The incident began when the driver crashed into another vehicle, which subsequently spun into a fire hydrant, knocking it down. Despite the collision, the driver continued down Ellish Parkway and slammed into another car. After exiting the vehicle, the driver collapsed on the ground.

Emergency personnel, including Hatzolah EMS, Chaverim of Rockland, and the Ramapo Police Department, quickly responded to the scene. The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital under police custody.

No other injuries were reported at the time of the incident. The police are continuing their investigation into the events leading up to the crashes.
