MONSEY: Gas Leak Triggers Emergency Response and Precautionary Evacuations on Horton Drive

Emergency personnel were called to the scene of a reported severe gas leak on Horton Drive on Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:15 p.m.

The Tallman Fire Department, Chaverim of Rockland, and the Ramapo Police Department responded to the incident. Orange & Rockland Utilities shut off gas service to the affected area, and nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution to ensure public safety.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported. The situation was brought under control, and the area was secured following the shutdown of the gas line.

    the call was dispatched 3:15 PM. at 3:21PM 44 control asked for an “acknowledgment” from dept 20 when 20-1 answered. 20 Tanker answered 3:25. 20-1 got on scene 3:26. 20-tanker arrived 3:29
