MONSEY: Flames Nearly Engulf Main Street Home Before Monsey Fire Dept Responds in Seconds

On Monday at approximately 8:45 PM, several items inside a residence at 41 Main Street became fully engulfed in flames, coming just seconds away from spreading and consuming the entire home. Bystanders who noticed flames coming from a window immediately contacted the Monsey Fire Department’s direct emergency hotline.

Monsey Fire Department members were dispatched within seconds, with additional mutual aid resources requested from the Hillcrest and Spring Valley Fire Departments. Crews arrived quickly and were able to extinguish the fire before it extended further into the home.
