On Sunday, the Monsey Fire Department hosted an extensive multi-hour Eckert Fire Tactics Truck Company Operations Live Fire Training, focusing on roof operations, interior fires in ceilings and walls, forcible entry, search techniques, and ladder work.
Mutual aid departments Spring Valley, Hillcrest, and Thiells joined Monsey firefighters for the hands-on training, which aimed to strengthen coordination and enhance real-world operational readiness across agencies.
Monsey Fire Department leadership expressed appreciation to Town of Ramapo OEP and Chaverim of Rockland for allowing the use of their headquarters on Saddle River Road and assisting with equipment for the Monsey Fire Departments RAC (Rest and Comfort) Unit, helping ensure a smooth and successful training day.
