Monsey Fire Department Honored by Rockland County Volunteer Firefighters Association for Outstanding Training Achievements

The Rockland County Volunteer Firefighters Association (RCVFA) recognized the Monsey Fire Department (Brewer Fire Engine Co. #1) for its exceptional commitment to training, awarding them the prestigious William J. Herman Training Award. The honor was presented during the RCVFA’s monthly meeting at Volunteer Hose Co. in West Haverstraw last night.

President Evan Humphrey praised the Monsey Fire Department for logging the most training hours in both state and county classes during the past training year, which concluded in September. The William J. Herman Training Award is given to the department that demonstrates the highest dedication to ongoing education and preparedness, reflecting Herman’s ideals of continuous learning and training.

Chief Hugh Jacobson and the members of the Brewer Fire Engine Co. #1 were congratulated for their hard work and commitment to excellence in firefighting.
