The Monsey Fire Department and Monsey Fire District held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday morning at the Park & Ride lot in Monsey to officially unveil several emergency response vehicles acquired over the past two years. The event was attended by law enforcement officials from across Rockland County, elected officials, and community leaders.
The expanded fleet includes three new firetrucks, a Rest and Comfort (RAC) unit, a new chief’s vehicle, and a state-of-the-art field communications vehicle—all aimed at strengthening the department’s emergency response capabilities and support operations.
The ceremony also marked 12 months since the launch of Monsey Fire Communications, which has been operating smoothly and making a significant impact. The division features its own in-house hotline and dedicated radio system, in addition to 911 integration, allowing for enhanced dispatch coordination and faster response times—ultimately helping to save lives.
Officials noted that these new assets have already made a noticeable difference in the field and will continue to play a critical role in the department’s mission to protect the growing Monsey community.
