MONSEY: Fire Breaks Out in Home Under Construction on Acer Court

A fire broke out early Sunday morning at 7:51 a.m. in the closet of a home on Acer Court, near Maple Avenue. The blaze was reportedly sparked by a heater located in the sprinkler room.

The home’s sprinkler system activated and managed to knock down most of the flames before emergency responders arrived. Thanks to the swift response of the Monsey Fire Department, the remaining active fire was quickly extinguished, preventing further damage.

According to information obtained by Monsey Scoop, the call initially came in as an automatic alarm. However, upon arrival, firefighters discovered a working fire.

Chaverim of Rockland and the Ramapo Police Department were also on scene, assisting as needed.
