Monsey Eruv Weekly Inspection Report — Parshas Tazria–Metzora

The Eruv of Monsey released its weekly inspection report ahead of Shabbos Parshas Tazria–Metzora, outlining a series of repairs, maintenance work, and infrastructure upgrades completed across the Eruv.

In the Spring Valley Rambam section, crews repaired a small loose wire hanging from the Eruv string along South Main Street. In Wesley Hills, along Route 202, maintenance teams cleared branches that were pulling and tangling the Eruv wire.

Extensive work was carried out in the New City Eruv. On New Hempstead Road, branches obstructing the middle of the wire were trimmed. Along North Little Tor Road, crews cleared branches and trees interfering with the wire and performed additional upgrades and reinforcements. On South Mountain Road, a wire being pulled by an adjacent line was repaired, with officials noting that one location will require traffic control for further work. On West Clarkstown Road, PVC alignment was adjusted at two locations to improve visibility for checkers, and a loose hanging wire that was affecting the line was cut.

In the New Monsey Rambam section, crews revisited the fence line near College Road and Spook Rock Road, adding structural support and creating designated deer openings to help prevent future damage. On Highview Road within a 55+ development, a damaged fence was repaired and trees resting on it were removed.

In the Airmont Eruv, along Shuart Road, a bent top wire was replaced with a new straight wire, and a nearby section was upgraded with a new PVC pipe and string to prevent future bending.

In Chestnut Ridge, along Red Schoolhouse Road, crews secured a top PVC with loose screws and replaced it with a new pipe to ensure stability.

Additional repairs were completed in Nanuet. On Scotland Hill Road, a branch pushing against the Eruv wire was removed, restoring proper alignment. Along South Pascack Road, a split wire that had begun sagging was repaired, and the PVC was replaced with a straight top wire.

Eruv officials confirmed that all necessary repairs and maintenance were completed ahead of Shabbos, ensuring the Eruv remains fully operational for the community.
