The Eruv of Monsey announced that all repairs identified during this week’s inspections have been completed, and the entire Eruv is fully kosher ahead of Shabbos Parshas Pinchas.
Earlier this week, Eruv checkers identified six issues, including five that required immediate repairs. Maintenance crews completed all outstanding work on Friday, restoring every section of the Eruv.
At the Good Samaritan Hospital Rambam Eruv, crews repaired an Eruv string on the north side of Route 59 after it was damaged by a fallen tree. In the Airmont Eruv, a snapped string at the corner of Masonicus Road and Airmont Avenue in Mahwah, New Jersey, was successfully restored.
In the Montebello Eruv, crews repaired the Eruv string along Route 202 near Orchard Circle after it was brought down during utility work.
The most extensive repairs this week were completed in the Spring Valley Rambam section, where four separate repairs were made. Crews addressed issues caused by a new construction site on South Main Street that enclosed two utility poles used by the Eruv and also cleared tree branches after an Eruv string became tangled.
All remaining sections, including Suffern, Chestnut Ridge, Pearl River, both Monsey Rambam sections, Spring Valley, Nanuet, Wesley Hills, New Hempstead, New City, Hillcrest, and Haverstraw, were inspected and confirmed to be fully operational.
In addition to the weekly repairs, Eruv maintenance crews focused much of their efforts this week in the Airmont and Mahwah, New Jersey areas, completing more than 34 repairs and infrastructure upgrades designed to strengthen and improve the long-term reliability of the Eruv system.
Eruv officials confirmed that all sections of the Monsey Eruv are fully kosher and operational for Shabbos.
