The Eruv of Monsey released its weekly inspection report ahead of Shabbos Parshas Ekev. Inspectors identified 25 issues during this week’s inspections, including 10 that required immediate repair, with the remaining issues classified as lower-priority maintenance items. Officials confirmed that all sections of the Eruv are kosher following this week’s repairs.
The Suffern, Good Samaritan Hospital Rambam, Airmont, Chestnut Ridge, Pearl River, New Hempstead, New City, Hillcrest, and Haverstraw sections were all inspected and found to be fully operational.
In the Montebello Eruv, crews completed three repairs after Eruv strings became tangled in tree branches at three separate locations.
Within the Monsey Rambam Eruv, crews removed a branch resting on the Eruv string along Route 306 and repaired a nearby fence on the adjacent property.
In the Spring Valley Eruv, crews cleared branches from an Eruv string along Route 59 near New Clarkstown Road. In the Spring Valley Rambam section, three additional repairs were completed, including installing a new cap and lechi near the Route 59 overpass and repairing two Eruv strings that had become tangled near the Route 45 construction site.
In the Nanuet Rambam section, crews completed three repairs along South Pascack Road, restoring a wire that had pulled away and clearing branches that were pressing against two additional Eruv wires.
Along Route 202 in Wesley Hills, crews repaired an Eruv string after it became tangled in tree branches.
Beyond the weekly inspections, maintenance crews spent significant time preparing for a planned expansion of the Suffern Eruv. Additional maintenance was also completed in Pomona, where an Eruv string along Route 202 was cleared after becoming tangled in branches.
Officials confirmed that all required repairs were completed ahead of Shabbos, ensuring the Monsey Eruv remains fully kosher and operational for the community.
