Monsey Eruv Weekly Inspection Report — Parshas Behar–Bechukosai:

The Eruv of Monsey released its weekly inspection report ahead of Shabbos Parshas Behar–Bechukosai, detailing repairs and maintenance completed across multiple sections of the Eruv.

According to the report, a total of 25 issues were identified this week. Of those, 12 were classified as not kosher and required immediate repair, two were categorized as high-priority items, and the remainder were medium- or low-priority upgrades. All necessary work was completed before Shabbos.

The Suffern, Pearl River, Spring Valley, Nanuet, New Hempstead, New City, and Hillcrest sections were all reported to be in good standing following inspections.

At the Good Samaritan Hospital Rambam Eruv (Sh’lav 5), crews completed multiple repairs along Woodland Drive. Two new 1-inch PVC lechis were installed after inspectors found the existing PVC was not properly aligned beneath the wire. In another nearby location, a flat cap was replaced to ensure the Eruv string sits correctly atop the structure.

In Airmont, along East Mahwah Road, crews removed vines that had grown around a PVC lechi. In Chestnut Ridge, along Chestnut Ridge Road near the overpass, crews untangled the Eruv string from two adjacent wires.

Several repairs and maintenance projects were carried out in Montebello. Along Route 202, bamboo pushing against the Eruv string was removed. On Lake Street, crews untangled the Eruv wire from two other wires, and near the park at the end of the roadway, extensive branch cutting was performed around the crossing string.

Within the Monsey Rambam Eruv (Sh’lav 1), multiple downed strings were repaired after tree-related damage. Repairs were completed on West Central Avenue near the railroad tracks, on Liebmann Drive, and near the intersection of Cedar Lane and Blauvelt Road. Branches surrounding those areas were also cleared to prevent future interference.

In the Monsey Rambam (Sh’lav 2), crews removed branches pushing against the Eruv string along Viola Road before College Road and cleared branches resting on the wire along Olympia Lane.

Additional work was completed in the Spring Valley Rambam section along Route 45, where utility company wiring work caused wires to become tangled with the Eruv string at two separate locations. Crews corrected both issues.

In Wesley Hills, branches pushing against the Eruv string along Route 202 were cut and removed, restoring proper alignment.

Eruv officials also addressed ongoing public concern regarding construction near the Route 59 overpass between Monsey and Airmont, adjacent to KJ Tiles. Although construction has been ongoing for several weeks, inspectors confirmed that the fencing in the area remains kosher and compliant.

Officials confirmed that all identified repairs were completed ahead of Shabbos, ensuring the Eruv remains fully operational for the community.
