The Eruv of Monsey was fully inspected this week ahead of Shabbos Parshas Yisro, with checkers recording a total of 18 issues in the Eruv checking app system. According to the weekly report, six of the issues affected kosher status, while the remaining items were classified as upgrades. All necessary repairs and adjustments were completed prior to Shabbos.
In Suffern, crews repaired a PVC lechi that had been damaged by a snow plow. Similar snow-related damage was addressed in Airmont, where a PVC lechi was replaced. In addition, branches pushing against the Eruv line along Brook Road in Upper Saddle River were cleared to restore proper alignment.
In Chestnut Ridge, a separated PVC on Chestnut Ridge Road was reconnected. Within the Spring Valley Rambam section, three sagging strings were replaced, while two additional sagging strings were replaced in the Monsey Rambam section.
Further repairs were carried out in Hillcrest, where crews corrected the alignment of two PVCs along East Eckerson Road and Middletown Road. In Wesley Hills, multiple maintenance items were addressed, including the replacement of a missing bracket on a PVC, the installation of a new PVC on a utility pole, and the trimming of branches that were interfering with the Eruv line.
In New City, crews adjusted wires that were pushing the Eruv line along Little Tor Road and realigned a PVC at the intersection of Route 45 and South Mountain Road. In Pomona, a PVC was realigned beneath the wire at Route 202 and Camp Hill Road.
Eruv officials confirmed that the entire Eruv was inspected this week and that all identified issues were successfully resolved before Shabbos, ensuring the Eruv remained intact and fully operational for the community.
