The Eruv of Monsey was fully inspected this week, with inspectors identifying three issues that were entered into the monitoring app system. All issues were addressed and repaired prior to Shabbos.
In the Chestnut Ridge Eruv, crews completed work in the Spring Hill area, where a new connection was added between a utility pole and a fence running along the Garden State Parkway to reinforce the boundary.
Within the Airmont Eruv, two separate repairs were completed. On Sparrowbush Road in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, the removal of a utility pole required the installation of two new PVC pipes to restore continuity of the Eruv line. On Airmont Avenue in Mahwah, New Jersey, a vehicle struck a utility pole, damaging the attached PVC; crews replaced the damaged section to ensure the Eruv remained intact.
In addition to repairs, an upgrade project began this week along Red Schoolhouse Road, where crews started installing new 1-inch PVC lechi and straightened the overhead wire from pole to pole to improve alignment and durability.
Despite extremely cold weather conditions, maintenance crews completed all required repairs and upgrades. Eruv officials confirmed that the entire Eruv was inspected this week and that all identified issues were successfully resolved before Shabbos.
